Privacy Policy
Last updated: 15 October 2026
This policy explains what VidSense (“VidSense”, “we”, “us”), the service at vidsenseai.com and app.vidsenseai.com, collects when you use it, why, who it is shared with, and the choices you have. Questions or requests: support@vidsenseai.com.
The short version
- Video and audio files you drop into VidSense are transcribed inside your own browser. The files are not uploaded to us.
- We store what you choose to keep (transcripts, summaries, saved channels, your content plans) in your account so it is there on every device.
- AI features send the transcript, and for “What’s on Screen” a set of still frames, to an AI provider to produce the result.
- We do not sell your personal information. The Meta Pixel runs on our pages to measure our ads; you can opt out at any time with Cookie settings.
What we collect
Account details
Your email address and, if you sign in with Google, the name and profile picture Google shares. We also keep your plan, your credit balance, a record of credits added and used, and when you first and last opened the app.
Your work
Transcripts, summaries and other AI results, screenshots taken for “What’s on Screen”, saved channel analyses, content ideas, scripts, your content pipeline and the accounts you follow. You can delete these at any time in the app.
Videos and links
- Files from your device are read and transcribed in your browser. They are not uploaded to VidSense.
- Links (YouTube, Vimeo, TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, X): to fetch the captions or the video, the link is sent to our servers and, where needed, to a download provider. The video is passed through to your browser and is not kept by us.
Payments
Payments are handled by Stripe. We never see or store your full card number. We keep the Stripe customer and subscription references, your plan and what you bought.
Keys you connect
If you add your own Claude, YouTube or Apify key, it is stored in your browser. If you turn on background features that need a key on the server, that key is stored encrypted and used only for those features. You can remove it at any time in API & Integrations.
The chat on our website
Questions you type to the assistant on vidsenseai.com are sent to an AI provider to write the answer. We do not keep a copy of the conversation. To prevent abuse we count messages using a one-way, daily-changing code derived from your network address; we do not store the address itself.
Technical data
Our hosting provider processes standard request data (such as IP address, browser type and time) to deliver and protect the service. Apart from the Meta Pixel, which you can opt out of (see Cookies), we use no other analytics or advertising trackers.
How we use it
- To provide the service: sign you in, save and sync your work, run the AI features you ask for, and check the accounts you follow.
- To run plans, credits and payments, and to prevent abuse and fraud.
- To answer you when you contact us, and to tell you about important changes to the service.
- To email you a welcome and a short series of tips after you create an account. Every one of these emails has an unsubscribe link, and unsubscribing does not affect your account.
We do not use your videos, transcripts or other work to train AI models, and we do not sell personal information.
Who we share it with
Only the providers needed to run VidSense, each for its own task:
- Cloudflare: hosting, sign-in, database, search index and some AI processing (voice, pictures and search).
- Anthropic (Claude): receives transcripts, still frames and your questions to produce summaries, answers, ideas and scripts. If you use your own Claude key, your browser sends these to Anthropic directly under your own Anthropic account.
- Stripe: payments and subscriptions.
- Apify: fetching videos and account information from social platforms, using either your own Apify account or ours.
- Google: sign-in with Google, web fonts, and YouTube data when you analyze a YouTube video or channel.
- Vimeo: plays the walkthrough video on our pages.
- Meta (Facebook): unless you opt out, the Meta Pixel tells Meta which pages you visit on vidsenseai.com and in the app, when you start a checkout, and what you buy (the plan or credit pack and its price, not your card or your videos), so we can see which of our ads work and show them to the right people.
- Resend: delivers our emails to the address you signed up with.
- fal.ai: only if you use AI video generation, receives the picture and description for each clip.
We may also disclose information if the law requires it, or to protect the rights and safety of our users and the service. These providers may process data in countries other than your own, including the United States.
Cookies and storage on your device
VidSense uses what it needs to work, and one advertising tool: the Meta Pixel runs on our pages to measure our ads. You can opt out at any time with Cookie settings (also at the bottom of every page and in the app’s profile menu); after that, it no longer loads on vidsenseai.com or in the app. Your choice is saved in this browser, so opt out again on another browser or device, or after clearing your cookies. Opting out does not delete cookies Meta has already set; you can delete those in your browser settings.
| What | Set by | Why |
|---|---|---|
Sign-in cookie (CF_Authorization) | Cloudflare, on app.vidsenseai.com | Keeps you signed in. Essential. |
| Security cookies | Cloudflare | Tell real visitors from bots and attacks. Essential. |
| Local storage and browser database | VidSense, in your browser | Remembers your settings and theme, keeps the speech model you downloaded, and holds work saved on this device. |
| Session storage | VidSense, on vidsenseai.com | Remembers that you hid the chat assistant, until you close the tab or clear it. |
| Video player | Vimeo | Plays the walkthrough video. It is embedded with Vimeo’s “do not track” setting; Vimeo may still set cookies it needs to play the video. |
| Checkout | Stripe, on Stripe’s own pages | Takes payment securely and prevents fraud. |
Your cookie choice (vs_consent) | VidSense, on vidsenseai.com and app.vidsenseai.com | Remembers whether you opted out of the Meta Pixel, and that you have seen the cookie notice, for a year. Essential. |
Meta Pixel (_fbp and Meta’s own cookies) | Meta, when you visit, unless you opted out | Measures which of our ads lead to visits, sign-ups and purchases (page views, starting a checkout, and purchases with their price). Optional: opt out with Cookie settings to turn it off. |
You can block or delete cookies and site data in your browser settings. If you block the sign-in cookie, you will not be able to sign in.
How long we keep it
We keep your account and your saved work until you delete them or ask us to. You can delete individual items, or everything, in the app. To close your account and erase what we hold, email support@vidsenseai.com from the address you signed up with. Payment records are kept for as long as tax and accounting rules require.
Your choices and rights
You can see, export and delete your work in the app. Depending on where you live, you may also have the right to ask for a copy of your personal information, to have it corrected or erased, to object to or restrict how it is used, and to complain to your local data protection authority. Email support@vidsenseai.com and we will respond within 30 days.
Security
Connections to VidSense are encrypted, keys you store on the server are encrypted, and access to accounts is limited to authorised administrators, who can see your email, plan, credits and usage counts in order to run the service. No system is perfectly secure; tell us straight away if you think your account has been misused.
Children
VidSense is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy we will update the date above, and for significant changes we will tell you in the app or by email.
